Business Analyst (f/m/d)

Receeve is a well funded (€4m Seed Round February, 2020), FinTech start-up based in Hamburg, run by seasoned founders. We are recruiting determined individuals looking to put their dent on the world and in the collections space. We believe that our software has the potential to completely disrupt the debt servicing industry and take it in a new direction by driving resolutive dialogue between our clients and their customers. Further, we want to reimagine the industry ground up based on technology versus manual processes. We help our clients drive customer retention and loyalty first and with transparency, we want to clean up an industry with a horrible image. 

We are looking for team members who “run up escalators” and live with a sense of urgency to get things done. Our job descriptions are written in pencil. Once in your role, you adapt to the tasks at hand and steer your own career. We like to set our targets high but believe in under-promising and over-delivering. And finally, we like well-rounded individuals. We work hard but we have families, do sports, pursue the arts, travel and whatever else allows us to decompress when necessary.

Business Analyst  (f/m/d)

 

About the role:

  • You will be working directly alongside the highly experienced founders Paul Jozefak and Michael Backes as well as senior management
  • You will own and drive projects and sales initiatives, measured by their success
  • You propose, develop and prepare materials and presentations for prospective partners and investors
  • You actively take part in sales, marketing and investor meetings and you are responsible for follow-up
  • You systematically collect data for market research
  • You assist a growing team in performing their tasks to the best of their ability and driving growth of the business via new customers
  • You contribute to an ever-adapting set of processes and help define best practices in our business
  • You enjoy being part of a team, like taking ownership and believe in working together: We’re a small but fast-growing team. Everyone pulls together and shares learnings to make the entire organization stronger

This role allows you to develop into a management role. We want you to stick around long-term but we also want you to learn enough to go start your own company if you choose. We want you to be excited about working in a startup and seek individuals who see their careers in this segment.  

 

Your profile:

  • You already have a couple of years work experience, preferably in startups or a similar high-growth environment
  • You have done sales or worked in business development in some capacity
  • You show a high level of motivation as well as commitment and have a “get things done” attitude
  • You feel confident challenging the CEO and other stakeholders
  • You demonstrate deep interest in FinTechs, Entrepreneurship or Banking
  • You have excellent communication skills in German and English
  • You know your way around MS Office, Keynote, or G-Suite and are willing to learn how to use the software services we implement at re:ceeve to drive sales, etc.
  • You are a team player who is independent and enjoys goal-oriented work
  • You know where you want your career to go and are looking to work with mentors who are interested in seeing you develop in your career

Job Description

Receeve is looking for a Customer Success Specialist to ensure customers achieve their desired outcomes, boost response rates and drive value throughout the Receeve on-boarding experience. You are a trusted advisor and can influence everything the customer touches in their initial and ongoing experience with us. This position interacts with all Receeve customers (Buyers & Suppliers) to provide high touch service that respects the relationship of the customers to Receeve and is a true Receeve ambassador.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ownership, management and adaptation of the overall customer on-boarding process, delivering a friction-free transition from our sales team to the customer success team
  • Engaging with customers via phone, email, chat, webinar, etc to assist in the customer on-boarding process and driving a high response rate
  • Identify & target “at risk” customers (i.e limited activity, communication issues, etc) and take appropriate actions to engage them to understand their situation & drive remedies
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer behaviour and their needs together with our sales and marketing teams. This includes key industries, business challenges, and objectives to appropriately communicate Receeve’s product’s capabilities and associated business benefits, addressing customer needs throughout the on-boarding process
  • Understanding and communicating industry best practices and the evolution of Receeve’s products and platform functionality, methodology, and administrative services integral to the customer’s success
  • Identifying risks for the customers’ successful completion of the Receeve evaluation process and actively work to mitigate issues before they occur. Work with internal & external stakeholders to facilitate communication and information exchange
  • Capture and record internal and customer-sourced insights, then proactively report & contribute as necessary with our team, management, & other stakeholders to bridge gaps that may exist between customer expectations & participation

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in a Technology related discipline 
  • Must be fluent in English and German. Proficiency in additional languages is appreciated
  • Experience – At least 3 years and up to 5 years working experience preferably in startups or a similar high-growth environment working in a tech-related role
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Customer and quality oriented attitude
  • Ability to deliver under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in process development
  • Demonstrate structured approach and a methodological mindset
  • Ability to thrive in an international start-up team environment
